Steps needed to do Drywall Installation, Tape and Texture.

  1. If this is new construction the new drywall will be ordered and stacked before the work is started.
  2. If this is a remodel before starting any work everything close to where the Drywall Installation is going to have to be protected like the carpet or floors will be covered with plastic, tarps or construction paper and plastic will be used in any furniture, doors, windows, trim, etc., if needed a curtain of plastic can be used to block the dust from going outside the work area like into a leaving room or a kitchen, always trying to contain the dust as much as possible.
  3. The Drywall Installation will be done.
  4. The drywall will be Taped, this is the process of filling the gaps around the drywall pieces and then installing a piece of Paper Tape in these gaps and joints of the drywall pieces, latter doing coats of drywall mud on this places to hide the Paper Tape and fill up the recess areas that the drywall have from the factory.
  5. The Drywall will be sanded and textured with a texture of your choice or we can match the surrounding areas.
  6. After the Texture is dry If you want we can prime and paint the work too.
  7. After the work is finished all the protection that was installed at the beginning will be removed and the area will be cleaned.

Yes, we install, tape and texture this kind of sound-reducing drywall, it can be taped and textured the same as a regular piece of drywall so if you want the texture can be matched to existing walls or ceilings.

For drywall installation is always recommended that the place is empty because the drywall is heavy and is difficult to move around furniture, beds, etc.

But if there is furniture or other stuff in there everything will be protected with tarps, plastic, paper, tape, etc. and if there is a chance to move the bigger stuff to a place outside the work area will be done.

Yes we can do the Tape and Texture for you but we always recommend that the Drywall Installation be done by a professional because most of the time when a non-drywall professional do the installation we see a lot of mistakes, some of them are going to produce more work for us to fix it and some of them are going to make the walls or ceilings less stable making cracks appear faster.

We can still do the work like this but since we have to charge you to fix this problems first at the end you will not save as much money as you think by installing the drywall yourself.

Yes we can Prime and Paint, you have to just choose a color and we will be happy to do it for you.
